The client had visible staining and plaster damage after heavy rain. The first priority was to inspect likely entry points, identify the most likely leak path and reduce the chance of further water damage.
Once the issue was under control, the affected ceiling area was patched, prepared and repainted so the room could return to normal use without the property looking unfinished.
